Other Ai Assistants

Of course we are very proud of our chat assistants. We are proof positive that anyone can learn how to create chat assistants even without any (or very little) coding and programming skills. We certainly do not have the programming acumen of other individuals and organizations. So we would like to pass along our Kudos and introduce you to some of their assistants.

Washington Post's Climate Bot

The Washington Post has launched an AI-driven chatbot called Climate Answers, designed to answer user queries about climate issues using information from the Post’s articles. Developed by the Post’s product and engineering teams along with its climate editorial team, the chatbot utilizes AI technologies from companies like OpenAI and Meta’s Llama. For now, the tool focuses solely on climate questions, but there are plans to expand it to other topics. The chatbot ensures the reliability of its responses by declining to answer questions it cannot support with verified reporting. Users can provide feedback on misleading answers. Additionally, the Post has started using generative AI to summarize articles, initially for about 10% of its stories, with plans to expand. These AI initiatives have accelerated under new CEO Will Lewis. Despite concerns about AI reducing article engagement, research suggests that AI summaries may boost interest, particularly among younger readers.
